CRITIQUE CLUB:
Lighting: Perfect - very well done.
Technical: Your camera setting were great.
Challenge: Met the challenge and it's very attention-grabbing, which is what you want for a competition. This piece is one that people will remember.
Overall: Very hard to critique because it's done so well. The centering works well (because there is only one object of focus), and you left the perfect amount of space on both sides and the bottom. Overall, a greta print that deserved higher marks. |

Just so everyone knows....I had a piece of yellow rope and tried to make an emotional shot. Fortunately , I am about the happiest guy in the world so there is no parallel from my life to this photo. I was just fooling with lighting and an idea!
I think that most people caught the double entendre of "Yellow" being the cowards way out for the title, but certainly not everyone. |

You centered this one but it isn't negaitve here. Brutal but I like it somehow. You got the light coming in well from the right and it hits it with a real yellow so you met the challenge with it. The longer I look at it the more I like it, I hope everyone takes a bit longer to look at this one. It's just hard light and then shadow, nothing in between. 8 from me. |

Not really clear to me why it's important to the photo that the noose is yellow. Nicely taken, though. 7 - floyd |

Right, or forced by justice from the law, but anyway, great job. |

Yellow? I would say just very disturbed. |

Hmm, well you do have 13 rings like you should. :) The lighting is a little weak, but it's pretty good anyway. 7. |
