One of the first successful images taken with my new Leica M10 Monochrom. I'm very happy with this image. It fills me with a sense of adventure and puts butterflies in my stomach. But to be fair, most mountain scenes do that to me anyway. (-;

I admired this during voting. The bw tones and contrast are perfect.

Masterful. There is an eye behind this image which combined compositional elements to perfection. Shapes, tones, and processing makes the special look spectacular here. Great work Dennis

Stunning image and perfect for b&w. Think this should have scored higher. Congrats on the TT Dennis.

i absolutely love how this seems like two environments or even three .. interesting how differently ppl see things ..
i felt the butterflies too .. its just so magnificent this image ..
and its like a wonderful story ..
the road beckoning us onwards .. towards the lush forest and mountains ..
AND THEN THE CLOUDS . !!!! .. they are just plain awesome ..
this pic blows me away .. congrats on top ten .. altho i feel it should have ribboned ..
but like i say .. interesting how differently ppl see things .. :)

Great B&W tones and great landscape. But it almost feels like two separate images, one the road with trees below and the other the trees, mountain and sky above. Would a lower viewpoint of a different framing resolve that?

I love everything but the road running out of the frame before it (sort of) turns back in. Given the square crop I don't know what you started with, but the processing is wonderful. I just might have sacrificed a bit of the sky and pulled up from the bottom a bit. Really good. Could have been a ribbon for me.

Awesome capture! Wish it wasn't a square crop, but still, very nice.
