Challenge: Yellow Revisited (Basic Editing II)

 We found our favorite water hydrant near a winter scene. We removed all colors with the Adobe Photoshop with the exception of yellow. Yellow is a great color for noticing objects in a white and green background such as a forest. Natures importance and protection requires human handiwork as in our photo. Nature lovers will hopefully dream of the day that water will always be available to nourish and protect our wilderness.

Hmmm....not pretty to look at. The exposure was off (the snow is not white) and it needs some more saturation (to help the hydrant come alive). the tree is too dark too. Underexpsoed a bit I think. Most of that should have been correctable in editing though.

I know taking pictures in the snow is difficult but the back ground is too dark.

Not sure what the pole is. The composition is nice, the picture is a little dim even with the bright colored fireplug. A 7.
