 Taken at the "Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen" (Amsterdam potable water dunes)

In this area, 2/3rd of the potable water for the city of Amsterdam is filtered. 90 million m3/year is taken from a river and filtered in a natural way during 3 months.

Funny how both commenters mention the creepiness, macabreness in this scene. I did not have that association but I see what you mean. I guess the B&W conversion adds to this, and maybe the fact that there's snow in the air which is about to start falling any moment... (the first snow in many years... 'thanks' to the global warming...)
