What a breathtaking depth of field, turbulent clouds in the foreground and the line of a road far below, leading towards a distant panoply of mountains. Makes for a dynamic composition and sensibility; we're birds, sailing the updraft. As the road is a line, it barely converges, but rather vanishes under the weather. This seems entirely legit, unless you're a stickler for points. The tones of the land are delicately handled, difficult with such modest contrast. The clouds are well-sculpted and intense, of a sort with which Beethoven could contend. The overall blue cast brings all the elements into harmony. Powerful and richly satisfying.
