 10 years ago I entered a photo named "Salk | Kahn" (below). Same awesome space, totally different POV. Jonas Salk was a famous virologist who invented the polio vaccine, and Louis Kahn was a famous architect who designed the campus of the Salk Institute, where Jonas spent the last 30 years of his life. This unique design emerged after hours and hours of conversations between these two geniuses. So I felt like giving this photo the same title. OK, it is almost the same.


p.s. by the way, both these photos got blue ribbons. I guess I should just keep photographing this building for every possible challenge :)

Wonderful perspective, design elements, and symmetry. One of my 9's (I obstinately gave my only 10 to Mark's asymmetrical symmetry :) ) and a fascinating complex. How did you get the figures so perfectly placed?
