Great choice of subject, and I really like the added human factor. My only gripe is that the top is chopped off.... leaves me curious about how tall it is and what else I'm "missing". |

Overall this is a very distinctive entry. I have absolutely no issues with your artistic presentation. Technically there is only one issue to point out as a distractor. In your effort to expand the dynamic range, you have, perhaps unavoidably, introduced haloing artifacts around the monument. My only suggestion would be to manually mask the area and expend more time and effort to minimize this type of effect. If it was your intention to introduce this effect, I'm sorry to say that I don't think it adds anything to this excellent photograph. Good luck! |

I really like this - not only are you showing a landmark, but you are capturing an actual use of the landmark - good composition. The sky seems a little odd to me - a little unreal like maybe a bit too much post-processing? At least for my taste, but overall very nice. Good luck! |

I think it would have been a better photo without the person in it. He is implying that he is bored being there. |

The fact that this is a peace monument makes this shot brilliant. The world is "ever late" when acknowledging peace. The red jacket symbolizes, for me, the bloodshed when we ignore peace. The subject facing to the right is hopeful, as is the monument, and the storm clouds in the upper right corner of the frame indicate that trouble is always brewing on the horizon, and his hopefulness may or may be for naught. That is my take anyway. So captivating and thought-provoking. I knew it was there... I just needed to educate myself. Many thanks for this image. A rare 10. |

Nice concept. Not sure about the framing/cropping as the top and right of the monument are cut out of the frame. |
