 I don't really know what brought tears to this boy's eyes. I saw a few kids playing outside in a small "floating" village at the Tonle Sap Lake, and this boy was standing still a few yards away. Perhaps he was excluded, or hurt himself while playing, don't know. But his sad posture, and silent running tears (as you can see, they were dropping on his chest) made me stop and take this photo.

You are so brave.

I can't imagine taking my camera out in public to shoot strangers... and to shoot someone in pain and get this... I admire your courage.

I am so timid with street photography.

Rich always has a wonderful way of expressing what i can find difficult to put into words ..
the not rating this challenge .. i felt exactly the same ..
and about the child too ..

this is one photo i wont forget in a long time ..
to even have the confidence to take such a photo .. of someone suffering ..
that is what often distinguishes a good photographer from a great photographer ..
going where angels fear to tread almost ..

many congratulations on such a raw image .. and of course the blue ribbon .. :)
