 I can't believe this was the first thing I thought of.

The Big Chicken is a KFC up in Marietta, a suburb of Atlanta. Every business in the area uses it to give directions. "A mile south of the Big Chicken." "The next light after the Big Chicken." And so on.

I think for the simplicity of this shot to work you really need a bright clear day with bold sky in the background.

The pciture is frames and set up well. The sky seems a bit washed out. Taking this shot on a clearer day and using a polarizing filter might give the sky a deeper blue color and provide a nice contrast with the red in the tower.

Given that yours is the third one of these, I know there is a beak and you left it out. Therefore you have left out the key element that it's a chicken! Shame...

Brilliant idea!! Awesome shot of the Big Chicken...a perfect image of folk art. I was one of the other Big Chicken shooters. You took quite a different approach that I really like. I bet there'll be enough interest now for a separate Big Chicken challenge...great shot!

i hope ya'll had fun. i'm not one to believe in conspiracy theories, but i really would have expected 3 or more images of the washington monument before 3 of these.

Incredible...all of Atlanta and three of us see the BC as our major landmark! Wonder what the rest of the world thinks? Great shot...I also had thought of trying this angle but it was after I had shot my other angle and did not go back to try.
