thank you for your nice comment on my photo! Yes, this whole place, Salton Sea, has a very weird, disquieting feel. Everything there, even this relatively new geothermal plant, show clear signs of decay. I don't know if you know it's history, it is fascinating. There is a nice documentary about it, Plagues & Pleasures on the Salton Sea

awesome image .. if the smoke wasnt coming out of those chimneys i'd be thinking this was an abandoned plant ..
