 Raw with grad ND filter. Kodak photodesk hi color look. PS levels, curves mask on sky, cloud, ground. Contrast mask, usm. Selected bright line on horizon and used hue/sat. Minor clone tool on horizon, minor flare. Blur tool on morre in top cloud.

Composition: 6, Would like to see something framing the valley in the foreground.
Technical: 6, It might have been more breathtaking a few seconds later.
Appeal: 7
Challenge: 8, IMO not strong as a landmark.

The sunrise(set?) is ok but the valley looks bleak. Not because of anything you did, it just looks...industrial and not pretty.

For some reason, I just keep coming back wanting to gaze at this. It is actually a fairly ordinary scene we might see, but maybe because you managed to capture it HOW I see this sometimes, it just stirs something in me. Very captivating. I love the haze and distant viewing.

Beautiful sky! I'm not crazy about the lens flare and am not sure how well this fits the challenge theme, as this is more of a landscape than a landmark. A beautiful photo nonetheless.

Damn. I didn't realize there were any Binghamtonian's on DPC. Not sure if I'd call this a Binghamton landmark, but it's a nice picture. Didn't realize the Mall could look that nice :)
