CRITIQUE CLUB
This is a very interesting shot!
TECHNICAL: Your depth of field may be a bit too narrow. My eyes want to read the rest of the spine, making it hard to focus. I also think angling the book just a little more would have eliminated the dead space to the right.
SUBJECT: Very original! Great idea! Towards the bottom of the photo, there is some light that looks like the edge of the table where the book is??? You might want to crop this out.
LIGHTING: Maybe a tiny bit harsh. The yellow is a bit glaring, but not bad.
OVERALL: This is really an interesting shot that met the challenge perfectly.
