I don’t know why you wouldn’t think it would do well. It was the best in show! |

well seen .. photographed and edited ..
congratulations on the ribbon .. :)
particularly love those low lying clouds .. gives this image a feeling of foreboding .. could almost be the approach of a very destructive dust storm .. :) |

Congratulations!
I did a bit of a double-take when I saw this because there's a scene nearly identical to this somewhere in central California,* though without the outstanding cloudscape as backdrop.
*I was on a train, so I don't know the exact location. |

Just basic editing, adjust lighting, contrast, convert to black and white, add sepia tone, resize and sharpen. Surprised it did so well. |

Outstanding find and great shot. I really like it in B&W. One of my favorites. |

Such a beautiful entry. My eye spy another tree but the palm is rather single isn't it? |

Woah, that is unexpected. Must be even more bizarre to see in real life. Excellent entry.
Edit - just realised that this is extended 3ditting, so possibly a composite. My high score stands, as composite or not, it made me gasp. |
