 The light outside the house is lousy these days so I did this one inside. After some consideration I couldn't come up with anything original so I bought some lemons. After a few lame ideas I carved one of these buggers and took the goo inside of it. Made it "stand" with toothpicks. Not 100% happy with the results, but I hope somebody finds it funny.

Used the 50mm f/1.8 with a 12mm Kenko extension tube to get closer to the lemonhead. Lighting was available living room light and an additional halogen lamp lighting up the background to show light coming from within the lemon. Would have liked to see some more details in the face though...

Did sharpening, levels, tiny bit hue/sat to get more brilliant yellow.

I dig the originality of this entry :) Great idea. I might have tried dark lighting to give it a more halloweenish feel, and it might even hide the two props sticking out at the bottom too.

very creative. Too bad the toothpicks had to show. Maybe if you would have done it with the point on the top!?! High marks though!

You got to do a better job in hiding the toothpicks in the background. I like your idea tho with the jack o lantern.

This would have done great in the humor challenge! I think you may have a little too much competition in this challenge for it to very well. But who am I to say? I can't figure out what earns a ribbon! Your focus and color are very, very good. I do think cropping the darker area off the top would help. :)
