Thank you all. Wow... I never expected this!
All the kind and helpful comments brought tears to my eyes with a huge smile. What a great family of photographers.
I am going to work on learning better editing from tips in your comments, obviously I need to work on editing in PS.
In hindsight I wish I did this image on a ladder straight on from the center.

hey Debbi ..
GREAT to see this in the top 5 and on your profile page .
i had a similar thought to Larry about making the sides etc more parallel .. but when this opened for me just now that all went out the window as i was so taken with this in its entirety .. and i just took in the beautiful colours and the shapes .. and the way the wood and the bowls live together so well ..
this is so rich and gorgeous .. congratulations .. xx |

| This has potential to be a very interesting composition. The subject matter and brown tones are appealing. There are several issues I would like to suggest in editing to make it even better. The most important issue I see is the parallelism which can be corrected using the transform tool if you have photoshop. Secondly, the lighting is uneven and the glare on the cups is distracting. Thirdly, I would recommend taking the picture from a more horizontal direction to the midline of the cupboard. It would have given a better perspective and allowed you to capture the top of the cupboard in the photograph. This is not an easy shot to get right. I hope this helps. 6 |
