 I figured there would be many excellent still lives in the style of Mary Ann in this challenge, so I decided to mix things up a little. Maybe not a still life in the most classic sense, but a still life nonetheless )).

The "Moon" is a screened strobe light through a round hole in the black cardboard behind the pears, and the "sea" reflecting the moonlight is a slightly crumbled piece of aluminum foil. I used a pretty long exposure to add some fill light on the pears with a small flashlight

Wow, your screen must be really bright, I completely missed it, the "sky" was basically black on my screen. Only brightening it up a lot now I saw what you saw. Those are shadows of my pears on the background cardboard from my light-painting from the front. Sorry about that oversight )).
