What horizon, Larry? The tree is on the slope, there are more trees visible on the right. The horizon is not visible, it is in the fog.

Great image, one of my favorites of the challenge, tells a story which I always like to see, makes you think a little. I like all the little elements the crooked tree the not straight footstep path, the rocks and debris in the foreground and the assumed vastness beyond.

It was a small crooked tree on the slope of a hill. HA!

One of the best in the challenge in my opinion. I think I would like it even better if the horizon was level but I think your purpose was to capture the texture of the snow in the bottom left.

nicely spotted and photographed, one of my favorite of the challenge, the footsteps lead you in to the image and the tree and the negative space gives a feeling of being alone, quiet peaceful
