Edible props, I could get used to that.
Shot with an yellow (1.5) filter, and -1.3 exposure comp.
Levels, USM, Colour balance, crop.
I will probably get some comments on the border.
On reviewing it, it looks almost Sci-fi, the sun in the BG and a satellite in the FG :)
I still haven't eaten the Kiwano so I have no idea what it tastes like, but from netsurfing it looks better than it tastes :/

As for the border: I knew I'd go down badly, but I simply couldn't come up with anything better and I didn't want to have a solid black one. Since then I've come up with a better idea.
I like this one the best:

but I did also try a different yellow:

With regards to dim or extra front light, sorry no, then the orangy colour of the Kiwano would be plain to see.

BTW I forgot the Kiwano behind my monitor for 2-3 days, and when I remembered it had gone bad, so I have no idea how it tastes.

Evocative of an outerspace / moon and Earth shot, beautiful. The border kills it for me though. Too garish.

Like the way you have approached it. It's like an alien landing you see in movies.

10 for creativeity and taking a chanve, the border is too much brighter than the subjects, so it draws my eye away from the pic. might be nice to have a bit more light on the front thingy - not much, but some. nice composition.

I think the border is too wide...

I like everything but the border - all those nice curves in yellow seem to clash with the squareness of the yellow frame - also is it greener than the yellows in the image? try one of the oranges and see it it looks better.

Thisis like an alien landscape! - perhaps the banana is the curveof a planet and the kiwano is some organic ship. Very dramatic and fun. 8

i feel like a dim front light would have helped this... i definitely see why you wanted the sides closest to the viewer darkened, but i think it's just a bit too dark. nice shot, though... good even lighting.
