Oh man, I really could have used Leatherlips again... but I spared you. This is a concrete Eagle Sculpture on the LeVeque Tower in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It's one of many that perch on the building. I was interested in the way the bricks truncate and sever the flow of the sculpture, as well as the various cracks and imperfections in the building.
Probably won't fare to well with the voters, because their ignorance will say "wait a minute, it's intact. 1" or "I say this in madagascar 30 years ago. 1" Ultimately I think they won't think it meets the challenge, but the more I look at this shot the more I fall in love with it, such great symbolism and intrigue. So voters who vote me lowly, here is what I say to you:
:Þ
Another last thing, people will probably vote me down on the "slant" that's in the image, without realizing I didn't take this dead on, so if I had corrected it (which I did several times) then you'd all yell at me about the slant on the top. |

Nice shot... I like it a lot. It does suffer some from keystoning. You can see where the vertical lines of the stones both on the left and on the right lean toward the center. If you use Photoshop for post processing there is a neat technique to correct for that and make both sets of lines vertical. If you don't know it and are interested in how to do that let me know. Again... nice image. |

Like this - love the stone texture you've achieved here. Interesting and effective composition too. I wonder if many people will see this as 'broken' though. |

not getting the broken part... is the eagle supposed to represent america? If it is then its not clear imo. Looks like the german eagle, or the countless other countrys that have eagles as part of the countries symbol. |

This is begging for a centered composition, and perhaps some smoothing? |
