We rarely see black squirrels in our woods. I read the ratio is 1:10,000 of Eastern Grey squirrels get this coloration. Happened to have the camera handy when I spotted this one from the back window and grabbed a few frames. The photo itself was "ok", but a bit on the ho-hummish side, so here's a painterly version. :-)
