 The bull and rider are not edited in any way (other than levels/clarity, that sort of stuff) - and it's a boy/man, not a girl ;-P
I only edited the BG. The light was pretty much as it was, it was very late afternoon when I took the shot. The rope is and was not attached to the rider's leg.

Just teasing. I believe this particular place has the rodeos quite regularly. They are out in Bronkhorstspruit (Pretoria).

Disqualification Details
The background images were shot out-of-gamut in 2015. The photographer thought of them as "textures", but because the BG was utterly obliterated by these images they cannot be considered such. It would have been OK to use similar cloud images in that way if they HAD been shot in 2021, FWIW.

Gorgeous capture and the processing allowed both bull and rider to be the stand along subject so elegantly in the midst of a very rustic sport.

Was this in SA? Where? Never knew they did rodeos here as well. Very nice action shot.
Ah...ok googled it and I came across this...Rodeos in South Africa...start a career as a rodeo star

interesting puzzle.-: what will happen after she falls, assuming the rope tied to her boot is connected to the bull's harness? and what has happened to he left leg which seems to end in the bull's rear right? nonetheless it is an arresting photo, the rider and bull as one, featured against a painterly cloud.
