Nice composition, the shadow definitely creates more interests. Good focus.

A good composition made great by the use of the vertical shadows. Well done!

I like your choice of subject and how it's used with the lighting here. Really like the shot but I feel that it would be better if you had used more room on the side where the shadow is falling. It looks a bit off balance now.

I see the apples, but where are the bees? Fortunately, I don't rate the title, just the shot. I really like the criss-crossing shadows and the highlights on the glass. Nice, sharp rendition and a pretty composition.

Overall Calculated Average Score: 6, the contrast between the light areas and dark areas is a bit too uneven for me

great use of available light. so much more interesting than perfect studio light. i like that they're not perfectly arranged stems-up or anything. i would like to see more of the shadow of the bowl though...just because i think shadows add depth to a photo. for fun i'd try increasing th contrast some, so the shadows are darker and the highlights are lighter (curves or levels). makes a great study of light.

well done.

It took a second, but I got it. The shadow creates the stripes mimicking bumble bees. Very clever. Great use of spheres and lines, especially clever because your lines curve as the shadows fall across the apples. So very nice... an easy 9
