Critique from thread. In general, I feel that your images suffer from I call "context" - it exists only for the person who takes the photo, and thus is more meaningful and interesting to them because they know the story behind it, or when/where/what was happening when it was taken. The view does not have access to any of that, and thus the image alone is not interesting.

Image choice: Extended FS are where people bring their A+++++ game. I'm more interested in knowing why you felt this image fit into that category. It would certainly be appropriate for challenges such as vintage, or music.

Technicals: the lighting is flat and dull, the focus is neither sharp, nor blurry enough to be an artistic choice, and it's quite noisy. The tilt does add a sense of movement, and the color certainly is eye-catching.

Critique per your request: This one appears a bit grainy and soft. I see you shot this with your Coolpix L30, not the EM10. Aperture is wide open and the ISO is raised to 400 because you were shooting in low indoor light. For a camera like that, those settings account for the softness. I'd bet if you shot this with your EM10, it would have performed well enough with the lens wide open that you could have gotten some of the finer details of the record grooves to show. Playing with the angle of the light could also do some interesting things reflecting on the record.
