 Bought for $1.49 at the 5 and 10 on mainstreet in Newark. Broken rather quickly with a hammer when it got home. Shot with just the pieces and didn't like the results. Reassembled with my glue of choice, Scotch Super Strength all purpose adhesive. Bounced flash off a white card on the left side. Edits include, levels, contrast, unsharp mask, a lot of dodging, and a little burning. The pig, now named Yuri, has been adopted by a friend of mine.

Composition: 7 - a little to tightly cropped, Technical: 4 - i could overlook the soft focus, but you really did a sloppy job on the editing, Appeal: 8 - it gave me a grin, Challenge: 10, Overall Calculated Average Score: 7

all in all, a good entry, above average. i just hope you didn't break the bank just for the sake of the challenge ;-)

Nice! Great lighting. Seems a little tightly cropped at the top, but that's a minor niggle.

Composition: 7, The left side of the shot is obviously screaming for coins!
Technical: 8, great focus, dof, but lighting might be brighter on the right

This image is far toooo cool! I really like the way you have offset the subject to one side and overall it is very easy to look at. The expression on the pig has a resigned look of..... "Oh well". Very uplifting. Good luck.

Broke the bank? :)

Well within the spirit of this challenge. I like the artistic presentation as well. Is that my monitor playing tricks on me, or is that a smudge near the top edge and top-right edge? Yes, there are a couple of artifacts which detracts from the beauty of this shot. It's subtle, but unfortunate. Still, just a minor issue. Good job!
