was a toss up between the butterfly that I entered and the grasshopper ..
it was the tiniest grasshopper i had ever seen .. no more than an eighth of an inch or 4 or 5 millimeters in its body .. I googled grasshopper's life cycle as I wondered ..
they start as an egg .. then a nymph .. then a grasshopper .. the one in the photo would have to be a nymph ..
we'd had fog in the morning .. hence the droplet ..
I felt the droplet would garner a few higher votes but the butterfly seemed to speak of a season or month more ..
