very interesting and compelling find. wish the background was slightly more out of focus, but not sure if that was possible for you at the time. nice work.

Good use of DOF, but perhaps not the most striking of subjects.

The composition and DOF are fine, but this one doesn't hold any real appeal for me. It also doesn't appear broken, simply open.
