This is a great concept and I wonder about some variations to make the image sing a little louder. The blanket is neat, his hair is neat and so the assumption here is not broken because of poverty but rather other implications such as a broken home, etc. My gut feeling with this model is to have him sit, frown and hold his hand over his temples looking totally depressed. However, this is another picture.
As is it is a good photograph and very well composed but lacking that sensation of broken. In its own tight it does have an appeal and that is why U commented on it. 6 |

Well executed photo. The gray color sets the mood. The photo makes you think since there is more to it than they eye can see. |

Composition: 5, too tight - no real context
Technical: 6, maybe could use a softer focus

Great idea, but could have been done more realistically. Hard to believe with a perfectly pressed blanket ;) |

Interesting idea, but I'm not getting the feeling of broken spirit. Sure sleeping on concrete is bad, but the blanket looks clean as does the subject, so it doesn't have the look of someone exposed to life's slings and arrows. |

I like where you were going with this. I think if you showed more of the picture, your entry would have more impact. Where is he sleeping? What's he wearing? What's his story? etc. Lighting is a bit harsh but otherwise a technically sound presentation. |
