I've never actually bought a Yankees hat before. In fact, I wasn't sure they were actually legal here in the Boston area. But, when I was at dinner talking about this week's contest, "The Curse" was universally picked as the most important broken thing in the last 12 months (or 80+ years for that matter.)

I'm a little worried because that is a local term, but, it was the world series. Anyway, after my son had so much fun smashing the Yankkes hat, there was simply no option not to post.

Technically, this amounts to practising lighting mostly.

Great shot, and the cures is gone! Great composition, lighting and basic colors. I hope this shot does well (as I'm sure you do too). One of my favorite.

I hope this is not lost on too many DPC'ers. I think you did a creative job interpreting the theme. Perhaps the red channel is a bit oversaturated but doesn't significantly detract from the quality of the picture. Well done.

Very cool idea. Maybe a small ghost like picture of Ruth in the background. The Boston/NY series sure was more exciting than the actual World series, not to say I didn't want the Sox to win. Good luck on this major league shot.

A 1 for offensive subject matter. ;) Kidding. 6 for a cute idea. And let me just point out, you now have 24 to go before you can even touch the Yankees.

Lets Go Yankees!

I'm not a golfer, so I suspect much of this picture is lost on me.
That aside, it's an interesting concept, and I can imagine the time you must have put into the setup. The skin tones and bat seem a little washed out.

Just think... I am a Yankee Fan, and yet I think this is a great idea. :) Good job. 7

Yeah - now what are they going to whine about? Nicely composed, lighted and shot. Ingenious idea as well.
