The shot was definitely unplanned but the person is a family member.

The term positive space in photography is only ever used to refer to the positive/negative space relationship and with that in mind this is genius. You have managed to use a colorful busy background to add interest to the subject. Everything about the subject is amazing. The pose, the facial expression and the wonderful shirt that ties the whole thing together. Brilliant in so many ways. Easy 10.
