 From an extraordinary trip to Africa in 2017.

Most wildlife assess entities as "can I eat it" or "can it eat me". Because the vehicles smell nothing like either category, animals tend to completely ignore them. It's amazing to have elephants, lions, and most other creatures just stare unfazed at us guests. Not even moving off the road where they lay, as we approach.

Cheetahs have apparently become used to tourists showing up and providing them convenient "higher ground" from which to view their surroundings. And future meals.

This one was very curious about the contents of his perch.
