I'm guessing that to some, this means wind. Not to me, however.

I must admit to being lost as to what this photo depicts except a book, which from the title might suggest the bible. What reference is there to wind?

Wind? Sorry I don't understand!

Ecclesiastes 1:17 (NIV):
"Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind."

Chasing after wisdom is fruitful, chasing after wind is not.

I can see that the person is throwing a pager or a book out, but it is so dark that it is hard to tell what is happening. The white dot, mid chest, confuses me. Focus all seems a little blurry.

Hope that you understand that I'm not trying to be harsh to your photo, just trying to help you take better ones in the future. 3

Interesting shot, but don't see the correlation with the challenge theme... Am I supposed to know the passage in the title?

The bible quotation loses me completely. the image is very dark, hard to see what it is you are trying to say...

I like no flags and no candles. Maybe use a book that is more recognizable as a bible? Made the think and I like to have to think.
I like the way the lighting focuses attention on the papers and the book and away from the model.

Then I applied myself to the understanding of this photo, and also of darkness and blur, but I learned that trying to give this higher than a 2, is a chasing after the wind. ;-)

hmm... dont get it all all... is this from the bible?
12/17/2004 02:40:41 PM
Too dark, I can't see what it is!
12/16/2004 02:10:04 PM
too dark for me to see whats happening
12/16/2004 01:35:46 PM
what am I looking at?!

Brave effort, but I don't see what connection it has with wind, and I don't have a clue what the verse is. I really don't think this will do well in this challenge.
12/15/2004 09:58:24 PM
where's the wind?

This made me go look up Ecc 1:17, so extra points for that! But I think you should have made it a bit brighter.
