This is my first submittal with a shot from my new Nikon D70! I stumbled across this Trumpeter Swan standing in the wind on my way to Seattle. Since I had not taken a picture for this entry (still learning the new camera) I fired off a few and this is what I found when I got home. Could be sharper but I was handholding my camera using the full 300mm (450 eq.) of my lens. Pretty minor clean up and here it is.

I like this entry for the Wind challenge. Good exposure on the white of the swan, but unfortunately the beek and face blend into the background. The swan may object to you shooting his backside, too! ;) Might I suggest using a different camera angle to get a profile shot of the swan rather than a rear shot?

I love how the feathers are blown back and ruffled! Photographer did a great job of capturing the theme of this challenge

too bad it's a bit blown out. try underexposing a tad for a solid white subject next time.
