 As much as I want to buy a probe camera and photograph the insides of all sorts of things.....

I had a lot of fun doing this. The idea came to me pretty early but didn't shoot until almost the end. I crumpled up a brown paper bag and tore a small hole in it. Since my studio is pretty much a storage room at the moment, I shot this in my kitchen, using the vent light for illumination. I also used a can of fog spray to get the beam. I took about a dozen shots and I liked how the "cave" looked, but it was boring and missing something. Originally I thought I'd put a mushroom in there, but the ones I had were just to enormous for the scale. Then I thought a raspberry but didn't have any.

So I wandered around the kitchen looking for something that might work, and I spotted this little ornate pillbox, which was absolutely perfect. Then just a ton of shots to get the fog going and the beam to land just right on the pillbox. There were several contenders.

Whoa, the first 3 ribbons in this challenge are equal in my eyes. All with a slightly different point of view on this challenge but none the less better than the other. This is the work of an amazing talent that you have along with an amazing creative ability. Congratulations a masterpiece.

how clever and imaginative .. there could be a wonderful fantasy story to go with this image .. the light coming in from above is brilliant .. :)
