 This room is (usually) a recreation of the living room of the Lindsay family who lived in Creswick, a town close to Ballarat. Children of a physician emigrated from Ireland, five of the ten siblings of were individually famous/gifted in some way, from art to writing. At the time that I took this the setting had been co-opted and modified to tell the story of another family with interracial complications.
