 there have been very few varieties of insects to photograph this spring/summer .. only grasshoppers ..
so it was awesome to find this robberfly in the grass .. hoping to find more robberflies as they are my fav insect to photograph .. and hopefully other insects as well .. :)

wondering how ppl will find the crop with the robberfly looking out of the frame .. i felt it worked better than any other's i tried .. would be interested in feedback .. :)

1 hour till rollover ..
was incredibly excited because this photo was sitting at 7.78 a couple of hours ago .. and would get on my profile page ..

it had been going really well for the entire week ..

then the last few hours of voting .. an extreme drop..
it's happened before .. that last few hours drop ...
so weird ..

just want to say thankyou to everyone who voted and especially those who liked it .. not everyone loves insects like me .. :)

Yeah, RIGHT :-) As if you can't find enough... Recommendation: take a trip to Costa Rica, lots of new bugs for ya in the rain forest there :-)

I don't have the patience or the nerves for this. Need a master class on how to capture this.. Focus Stacking? Single Shot?

Color is great, dof is great, texture is great, lighting is great.. Not sure what if anything I would change.
