 Exiting an ice cave. Check this one off my bucket list - quite the experience, very otherworldly. I could have spent a couple of hours in this place. Fortunately, our group got a very early start and we were one of the first people in the cave. On the hike back, we passed almost 100 people heading to the same cave. Impossible to imagine how they managed so many people in the cave, as it was quite small.

The glacier is retreating at a very fast rate, and the caves get farther and farther from the road, making the hike to it much longer.

Being the hiker that I am, I was up at the front with the group leader, who sent me into the cave first as others caught up. We were required to wear helmets, which I greatly appreciated since the first thing I did when I went into the cave was hit my head on the ice, which was lower than I calculated ;)
