 i noticed this spider on my dog toddy's bean bag ..
of course i thought of this challenge ..

spiders are not a horror for me .. but for many people they are ..
my daughter for instance is scared of daddy long legs .. and they are the tiniest and most delicate of spiders and harmless to humans .. and she's definitely not alone in her fears ..

i took a few photos from different angles and he didnt run away ..

when i'd finished taking photos i put him on the bathroom floor and put a couple of droplets of water near him because i thought he might be thirsty ..

he had a lot of very small fibres on his body and i wanted to free him of them but there was no way i could do it .. :(

anyway .. when i got the photos on the computer i wasnt totally happy with them and thought i might get another chance to take his photo if I saw him around ..

i've seen him or his twin about but he runs away now when i get near ..

maybe he feels being my model for five minutes was more than enough .. !! .. ;)

hoping ppl dont mark me down thinking he's dead .. he was very much alive .. and probably has a lovely little hidey hole somewhere in the computer room where i last saw him scuttling away .. :)

I love the spiders with all the eyes. Great choice for b&w conversion!

Congrats Roz - a friend of mine had a "pet spider" in the house for a couple of years. It lived in the chandelier and she would feed it flies that she caught for him/her ... rolling eyes ... yes my friend is most eccentric :-)
