Same house as Alan shot last year. This time I got Santa in the picture talking to the elves, um, neighbors. Also got a car on the street.

My angle is higher and more to the right than Alan's, and even though i used a tripod, i did not use a remote or timer relase so i got a bit of camera shake. I was self concious, with a tripod across the street from all these folks...

Neatimage, USM, levels, curves, hue/sat, crop, clone out a hot pixel and reflections in the car windows and the overhead wires, resize, final USM.

as an image of tacky, that's tqacky alright. as a photo it's not too succesful. the truncated cars are a real negative for me. the neighboring house's wall is standing out too much. One would expect greater sharpness as well.

Not quite as clear as the original, and the cars and people detract. Cool idea to go to the exact house though! An option most of us didn't have :)

As far as I can see this is the same house that won in "tacky holiday decorations" but that shot has so much more quality. The sharpness and colours and exposure are better in the original and also the composition being a bit wider with no cars also makes that a better shot.

Anyway, not bad, but not good either so I gave it a 5. Merry christmas!

Wow- the same house?!!? This doesn't quite have the impact of the original due to the cars and not the same amount of sharpness.

Hey, who stole my shot!? :) Yeah, bummer that the cars had to be there, but it turned out quite well otherwise!
