Thank you! It was actually taking off. I have several succession shots of it doing so. This one ,I felt , showcased the reflection the best. |

The ability to capture images like this blows me out of my tree. This is such a graceful and beautiful capture. I imagine the wait for this exact moment. Wow, perfection!
CONGRATULATIONS! |

WOW .. this is amazing .. particularly loving the way you caught the bird when it's feet were dragging in the water .. and the grass/reeds being distorted by the waves ..
the light is sublime ..
many many congratulations on your ribbon . :)

It's hard to be any more perfect than this. Already voted, 10. At one point I felt like there was too much space to the left and a crop would improved it, but the more I studied it the more I realized the ripples on the water are actually FRAMING the bird and its reflection almost like some sort of textural vignette.
Add to that the exquisite deepening of the backlit wing's color in the reflection and the way the droplets on the trailing legs are becoming branches/twigs in the reflection, not to mention the perfect sharpness, and you have a total winner.
It's not the most imaginative image in the challenge, and my appreciation tends to lie with those who stretch a boundary or two, but this is compelling. Great work! |

The subject is spectacular. The light coming through the feathers is beautiful and everything is timed well.
I do wonder how this would look with a little more editing to really bring out some of the little details. That said, there is something special about it feeling unedited as well :) |
