 The Kanaya Hotel in Nikko, built in 1872, has in recent years lit up this tree at Christmastime. It bills it as the tallest lit tree in Japan. Classy hotel; I'd gladly stay there one night.

it may be the tallest decorated tree, but this comes across as a photo of the most banal motel in the country to me
