My beautiful boy Jack being the perfect model for this fun parody challenge ! I have used the blue ribbon winner from the Defining Feature Challenge which I must say is an exceptional photo ! Took about 30 shots and narrowed it down to this one.

Thankyou everyone for your kind words and comments! I think if this was in a different challenge it may have placed higher for the average score received (6.2), normally that would be around the top 10.....oh well I'll keep at it ! I am more than pleased with this average score so early on in my DPC submissions !

I keep coming back to this one. I really like the selective desat here. The focus and composition is good as well. I just feel like I should reach out and pet this pup. Just something about this I find sweet and engaging.

I'm no fan of pet shots particularly, but this, given the challenge and your chosen source ... I have no idea what to think. I think I like it - both the shot itself, which has the mournful put-upon-ness of a pet when they're being messed about with, and a nicely subversive realtionship to the original and all it's many 'close companion pieces'
