after i received Willem's comment i felt i should say how i created this image ..

and i suppose because its not an obvious double exposure it might have made people wonder ..

so i'm sharing the two photos i used to create this image ..

granted the one of the robberfly had been focus stacked which is allowed in a standard edit challenge .. and then cropped ..

but then i had added the photo of the grass at a lower opacity .. which i felt satisfied the double exposure requirements ..

i did wonder if cropping the robberfly before adding the grass still qualified as a double exposure ..

be great to hear what other ppl thought about the cropping aspect ..

anyway ... here are the images i used ..

Thanks for explaining the double exposure. I voted assuming it indeed was a double exposure. Still, in my view, the added value of the second exposure is low in the final image, so no top score from me this time.

I don't recognise the double exposure aspect in this image. Maybe a focus stack? My interpretation of the challenge is that one should be able to see that it is a combination of two images and I am scoring it high if the combination is more than the simple addition of the two. (I know that is just my interpretation)
For me, a double exposure means that two images are layered on top of each other and details of both images are visible in each part of the resulting image, unless one of the images uses a pure black. Ideally the resulting image is more than just the addition of the two. The combination shows some added value.
