hideous color, bloves bright way out of proportion to rest of image

Think I would have preferred this in b&w, also maybe the lighting is a bit too harsh.

harsh flash and not being able to see his eyes makes this not much more than a snapshot. More time spent might have yielded a better image.

The flash overpowered the subject here.
