This was a 90 sec exposure. It took some practice to get the laser drawing right and to figure out how to get the flame on the candle exposed properly. In the picture on the wall is a picture of 2 people. Those are my grandparents! I had taken a picture of them and added to a picture we have hanging on a wall. The tea set was theirs. A family heirloom.

The "smoke" was created by positioning the black backround very close the backs of the tea pot and cups. A red laser was used to create the swirling pattern to artistically mimic the steam. A 10 second delay was used on the shutter to initiate the exposure enough time for me to get to the lit candle and put my hand in front of it the instant the shutter opened and blow out the flame to get the proper exposure and minimize lateral displacement of the flame In the final picture.

Lovely and most unusual entry for this challenge. Wondering how you created the wisps of aroma rising from the teacups and teapot. Hope you will explain how in your comments after the challenge.
