 It's hard enough to photograph a toad.

Getting one "standing up" instead of crouching down to hide... even harder.

BUT, getting their legs to be symmetrical. Impossible.
I did try. He did, too. He let me move one leg twice.

I think he was just almost frozen from being in the pool in February, so was happy for the heat.

I put him back outside... on the ground... in the sunshine... and let him make his own decision about getting back into the pool... or not.

I love this, what a great idea and well shot! I am sure getting him to pose as you did was hard.
