 Just messin' around with my new Rebel and 17-40L. Grain is intentional, but, of course, it will lower my score! Only challenge here was holding the spot-light at the right level since the tree is about 11 feet tall. This won't do well, but I haven't submitted since October so I decided to submit whatever I had.

This is the second of only 2 that I'm giving a 10 in this challenge. I love the star reflection on the wall (how'd you do that!?) and the tree is just lovely!

Ohh....very pretty. I like the backlighting and most of all the shadow of the star. Very tastefully composed.

Detracting issues:
- Appears to be a horizontal (to axis of sensor) banding noise pattern reminescent of a Canon 20D probably due to the use of a faster ISO setting.
- Image has a lot of detail, but there is significant jaggies due to very strong edge sharpening. Consequently, overall image integrity has been compromised to a degree.
- Colors are just a bit flat. Could have been spruced up with a quick saturation adjustment. I like the colors and the warm color balance...this is really a minor issue.

Overall, this is a very good submission. I will rank this as one of my top picks.
