| I agree with the others, your photo would've fared better if it'd been a bit bigger. Sweet dog :) I like the emotion conveyed here, the colors could be a little sharper though. Also, I always thought the focus of the picture should be centered, but when I came to DPC I quickly found that off center subjects are much more pleasing to the eye. There's a law of thirds that is really pushed here so that might be something to take into consideration. All in all I think you and I did pretty well for our first submissions! :) Good luck next time! |

way too small. check fhtr tutorials on this site for how to size an entry for submission.
the composition is very bad - basic rule: unless it adds to the pic (the meaning, etc) then remove it. So we have here pasrt of a person...a hand...some grass...not sure what the intent was.... |

| This guy is real cute but here is a case where takeing advantage of the size alloted is critical. Remeber that small images are dismissed by most voters. I will give you a 6 but do consider using the 640 max. for future entries. |

| You photograph is very small to judge adequately and the crop does not tell a good story between owner and pet. I see a pair of jeans and one arm holding on to a pet. Next time try to use the max size, it will help in voting. The focus is soft. Good color. Wish you the best in the challenge. |

| NICE PICTURE. MINOR COLOR ADJUSTMENTS TO BRING OUT THE DOGS BEAUTIFUL COAT WOULD ENHANCE YOUR PICTURE. |
