The soft harmonous glow of the luminescent light filters out among the curves and edges of paperclips produced shadows that stretched the arms of the molded metal and printed a dance of light, embossed on the fine paper to which I cast my visual eye and subjected my lense to its beauty.

Greetings from the Critique Club.

Composition: The composition of the photograph is very interesting, if I squint my eyes I can almost make out letters in the shadows of the paper clips. I have read some of your previous comments and have to agree that a diagonal composition would have strengthened the photo. Also by cropping out the dark corners you would have led the viewers eye more clearly to the subject.

Colors:You soft muted colors are very pleasing to the eye, much like a late afternoon shot would.

Lighting:The direction of your lightening lead to the great shadows, and prevents this from being a flat photograph. I like the interplay of light with the paper clips, very interesting

Overall: Overall this is a nice picture but not overly interesting. It does not hold my interest for too long. A tighter crop would help by removing too much empty space. Good luck in subsequent challenges.

Interesting. Nice creative concept. I like the dramatic shadows. I'm thinking though that maybe applying the rule of thirds or placing on a diagonal line would make for a stronger composition?

Interesting composition! Unfortunately the image is a bit noisy and lacking in sharpness. I like the angle of the lighting, it's interesting, but I'd prefer if the image were a little bit brighter.

good picture, but do not understand what it has to do with mechanics

The subject is interesting, but the photo isn't crisp enough for me. The black in the corners (round table?) is distracting too. I like the shadows of the paperclips, but this definitely needs better cropping. Lighting is kinda odd too, but to create the shadows I can sort of understand how the bottom left hand corner could get overexposed. Anyway, it meets the challenge and it's a good try so I'm going with a 5.
