 The same vise that held the matches in my "Deja vu" entry. I sure hope he will bring me the same kind of score. Shot with a 100w tungsten lamp in RAW. Played with exposure and black level in ACR. cropped, resized sharpened and that's it.

The lighting and composition here are first-rate.
Only minor (and I mean minor) dig is the green paint on the handle, but took nothing away because of it. ((8))

Great idea - and well executed. The composition makes it feel like a nice, big, solid tool - the lighting adds some drama that ordinarily I wouldn't expect to be associated with a vise. Good job and good luck!

Nice idea. Good detail. Looks like good lighting, and I like the darkness/shadows, but I think just a little too much. Maybe a little bit more of the vise in light would improve the shot.

I like the way you have used the light to emphasise the shape of the vice.
Perhaps if the jaws had been visible showing the grip pattern..it may have added extra impact.

I think it would be better with a little of the empty space at the top cropped out, and not cropped so tight on the left and right.
