THIS SHOT WAS TAKEN OF MY GREATGRANDMOTHERS CLOCK WHICH I RECEIVED UPON HER DEATH. WITH ALL THE COGS AND SPRINGS THE CLOCK DATES ITSELF BACK TO A TIME WHEN BODIES IN MOTION PROVIDED THE NECESSARY ENERGY WITHOUT THE NEED FOR ELECTRICITY.
THIS IMAGE WAS CONVERTED TO A B/W AND THEN AN EFFECTS FILTER WAS USED IN PHOTOSHOP TO PRODUCE THE FINAL IMAGE.

Donald,
This was one of my favorite compositions of the challenge!
I'm still trying to figure out what it's doing in the 80th position.
I do like both the desaturation and the movement in the shot. It gives a timeline feeling of generations passed. I think a larger size would have helped your score some. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

I am surprised how many people score low because of the over all size. Yes you might have been able to make it bigger, but I don't feel it was too small. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I really liked this shot and I figured it would have scored higher than this. But in any case great shot. I like the processing technique you used. It looks almost like a transformation from the time in which it exsists now to what it used to be. Good luck in a future challenges. I have added this to my favorites.

Great lighting, the shot is great, but the image feels rather small. Especially since it's a narrow aspect ratio, I think maximizing the height to 640px would improve it a lot. Keep up the good work.

Very nice, the fade from color to B&W is very effective, it just seems the image is small.

I don't know that the motion blur really helps here. And I'm not sure what the desaturation is for.

A nice shot. The hot, over-warm "arch" upper left is unfortunately a real eyetrap here.

Needs to be bigger - too hard to see the detials here.
